Day 9: Apple Store and Times Square

by Moritz

On our pre-last day in New York i had my appointment at the Apple Store at 11am. After jumping on the wrong subway for the first time in 9 days we finally arrived at the Apple Store at 11:10am which was noch problem anyway. The guy at the helpdesk tried to fix my broken touchscreen on my iPod touch by restoring it but it doesnt help anyway. So i got an as good as new rufurbished iPod touch without any scratches. Wonderful!

After this we had lunch and then went further to Times Square because Andre had to buy some gifts. Our first stop was at the Hardrock Cafe where they had an really awesome museum of rock history, that included the original suits and bags the beatles used on their first trip to America. Amazing! After this Andre saw the naked Cowboy which he had seen on TV before and wanted to make a photo with that guy. Lokk at this by yourself, its somehow weird.

After this really nice experience, we walked to south of Central Park because wanted a sketch from one of the artists who offer sketch paintings there. It took about half an hour but after this, Andre got a really nice sketch of himself.

Finally we drove towards United Nations Headquarters. But all tours were already sold out at the time we arrived we just had a view into the Lobby.

Day 6: Central Park and Top of the Rock

by Moritz

Today we have started the day with travelling to 86th Street and then going to the Central Park. We entered the Central Park at half of its length and it took us about two hours to go from the middle of Central Park to the south end of it. The Park itself is absolutely amazing. We walked next to the Lake diagonal through the Park to the Pond where we ended up at the South-East point of it.

Our next stop has been the Apple Store where i made an appointment for Thursday to fix my iPod.

Then we had to go back to our Hostel because my camera was out of memory. After this we drove to Rockerfeller Center at 6pm to see New York from the top in daylight, sunset and night. Here are the amazing Pictures from the Observatory located on the 73th floor.
